About Us
I’m Charlene Orne, a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Integrative Women’s Health Coach, and PA with over 30 years in medicine, now specializing in helping women 50+ navigate hormone chaos, stubborn weight gain, fatigue, and gut issues that traditional medicine often overlooks.
After years of working in conventional healthcare, I experienced firsthand how symptoms were often dismissed or medicated without ever asking why.
My own healing journey through hypothyroidism and burnout led me to Functional Medicine, where I found the answers (and the energy!) I’d been missing.
Now, I help women reclaim their health, their power, and their joy through personalized programs rooted in science, compassion, and strategy. Whether it’s cortisol confusion, digestive dysfunction, or sleep that just won’t come. I believe your symptoms are a signal, not a sentence.
Let’s make midlife your best life, because you deserve to feel amazing in your own skin.
Helping women heal isn’t just what I do—it lives in my veins.
After more than two decades in traditional medicine as a board-certified Nurse Practitioner—serving in both family practice and cardiology—I began to notice a troubling pattern: women were falling through the cracks. They were told they were “fine,” when deep down, they knew something was wrong. Their symptoms were minimized, their intuition dismissed, and their healing delayed.
Eventually, I became one of those women.
Years ago, I faced multiple unplanned surgeries that left me completely depleted. I spent months out of work, barely able to function. Traditional medicine offered little more than medications that made me feel worse—not better. When menopause hit, a new wave of symptoms came rushing in: brain fog, insomnia, weight gain, mood swings. I was doing “all the right things,” but still had no real answers.
I know what it’s like to be in the trenches—feeling dismissed, unseen, and stuck in a system that isn’t built to heal.
That’s when I discovered functional medicine.
Through root-cause testing, therapeutic nutrition, alternative therapies, and deep nervous system work, I rebuilt my health—and my life. Today, I never take for granted a single day I get to live, move, and feel like myself again.
Now I help other women do the same.
At Telson Health, I work with midlife women who are tired of not being heard and ready for real answers. Together, we uncover the root causes of symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, stubborn weight, mood swings, sleep disruption, bloating, and more—then create personalized, science-backed plans to help them thrive.
I’m a nature-loving, organic-gardening, hiking, heart-led healer from the great state of Maine—and I believe midlife can be a powerful new beginning.
Let’s make it yours.
Midlife isn't the end- it's your chance to finally feel like you.
And I'm here for it.
I spent decades in traditional healthcare, and while I’m grateful for that foundation, I saw how often women’s symptoms were brushed aside or medicated without ever asking why.
Eventually, I became one of those women—burned out, dealing with thyroid issues, and running on fumes.
Functional Medicine changed everything for me. It gave me the tools to heal—not just cope—and now I get to do the same for other women every single day.
Through advanced testing, personalized support, and a whole lot of compassion, I help women get to the root of their hormone chaos, gut drama, stubborn weight, and energy crashes—so they can feel like themselves again (or maybe even better than before).
If you’ve been told “you’re fine” but you know you’re not…
If you’re tired of Googling your symptoms at 2am…
You don’t have to keep pushing through.
Let’s talk. I’ll listen, I’ll believe you, and together we’ll figure out what your body’s been trying to say.
A little more about me...
When I’m not deep in lab results or cheering on my clients, you’ll find me outside soaking up every bit of nature I can—whether I’m walking coastal trails, breathing in the salty ocean air, or enjoying a quiet morning with my corgi by my side.
I believe that growth doesn’t stop at midlife—it starts here.
Nature grounds me. Curiosity fuels me. And helping women feel seen, heard, and whole again? That’s what lights me up.
Let’s make midlife your best life, because you deserve to feel amazing in your own skin.
